Arzora Crommarty
August 26, 1888 – June 25, 1974
Arzora Crommarty (affectionately known as Uncle or Son) was one of the first children born to Jayne and Ethel Crommarty on August 26, 1888. He was one of a set of twins. He was born in the Riceville, Georgia. His parents relocated to the state of Florida where he resided until his death on June 25, 1974.
He settled in the city of Lake Helen, Florida in 1911 and later married Sophrona King. From this union, six children were born, of which one son and one daughter died in childhood. Uncle was a mechanic, handy man, investor and caretaker. He was a jack-of-all-trades.
He was faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to his church Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He served over sixty years as a deacon, superintendent of Sunday school, President Emeritus of the laymen society of Mount Zion Northeast District Association, Ardent worker of civic affairs, and held many official positions in different organizations.
